Mission Statement

To grow in faith

and to witness to others

by our Christian example.

What does Psalm 34:18 tell us about God's presence during times of heartache?

Psalm 34:18 says, 'The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' This verse reminds us that God is always with us, especially during times of pain and sorrow. He is not only close to us but also saves us when our spirits are crushed. When we feel overwhelmed by grief, we can turn to God for comfort and healing.

How does Psalm 147:3 assure us of God's healing?

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). This verse assures us that God is not only close to us but also actively working to heal our broken hearts. He is a loving and compassionate God who wants to restore our spirits and bring us peace. Turn to Him in prayer and allow His healing touch to mend your heart.

What does Isaiah 43:2 teach us about God's protection during difficult times?

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze" (Isaiah 43:2). This verse reminds us that God is with us during our darkest moments. He will protect us and guide us through the difficult times, and we can trust that He will see us through to the other side.

How does Jesus offer rest and healing in Matthew 11:28-30?

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are overwhelmed by our burdens. He offers us rest and promises to lighten our load, allowing our souls to find peace and healing.

What does Romans 8:18 encourage us to focus on during our present sufferings?

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us" (Romans 8:18). This verse encourages us to look beyond our current pain and suffering, focusing on the future glory that awaits us. It's a reminder that our present struggles are temporary, and God has a greater purpose for our lives.
